SR-25 you will not be missed
I donāt understand. Last year ( well the second half of 2024 ) SF-24 performing really good and even competitive for Constructor. Thatās why high hopes for 2025. Why suddenly it race badly in this year ? Did they drastically changed the SF-24 ?

To be honest I can ramble for HOURS about sf-25 and WHY is it a bad car, but simply: Yes, it is completely different car than sf-24. Ferrari (Fred Vasseur) stated during previous season brake that sf-25 has less than 1% from sf-24.
The more detailed answer:

In 2024 SF-24 was great. They ended up second in wcc by 14 pointsš¬ they had 22/24 podiums. Car was definitely good. However, Ferrari thought that in 2025 they should risk by changing both wings AND suspension⦠(i wouldnāt be suprised if they would have changed the engine drastically) They took this risk to improve the aerodynamics, so their drivers and car would be more competetive than in 2024 (i donāt understand their logic too tbh) The sf-25 new suspension (photo below) is more aerodynamic BUT it is more difficult to manage since you need to also figure out the height of the car that would be the best. I think it took them a lot of time to prepare car each race so they wouldnāt be dsq but also competetive (..and they failed miserably)
Ferrari couldnāt manage that so it lead to their DSQ in China (Second race of the season) due to plank wear. That shows a lot.
From the start of the season I think most of the people got an idea that car was so bad that it was behind two williams in qualifying š They were right tho
Moreover, Ferrari have some questionable strategists that would leave drivers on hards during rain or respond with diabolical messages on radio to their drivers. It is the drivers that use the whole potential of those cars. It must be their fault that they lost WCC in 2024 because of those strategiesš
We canāt predict how the next car will perform but I hope for comeback. Ferrari can make a good car but they shouldnāt risk that much as they did this season. The car was too dangerous leaving drivers with too much bouncing, li-co treatment and dsqš„² I hope those regulations would help ferrari to get wcc and cl16 wdc
Maybe (if i will get more miserable) I will dedicate a post to SF-25 and why is it bad but tbh this car should be forgotten for Godās sake.
