So, we are back from our vacation, and now Jeffrey is off night shift! The first night we were back from Ohio, Jasper slept through the night FOR THE FIRST TIME! It felt amazing and weird all at the same time. I thought that it might be the start of an amazing trend. That dream slowly disappeared over the week until it's climax (hopefully) last night. He would not go in his crib. He would be fast asleep, then the second he touched the mattress he would start crying. I took him to bed with me, and he was still crying. Finally, at three in the morning, I gave up. I went to the couch and fed him, and cuddled him, then FINALLY he slept. I felt bad for my poor husband, I know he couldn't sleep through it either.
That night was followed by a morning of clinging and crying. I would try to put him down so I could clean and eat, but again he would cry. It was a rough night followed by a rough morning. Finally, he took at nap at two, and Jeffrey came home to a perfect angel at three. I'm so glad that Jasper is feeling better now, and I hope that continues through tonight. Sometimes being a mom is so hard, but then I get that little smile and it suddenly becomes so much easier. =)
