That's my setup for drilling at the 7.5 degree angle. I calculated that I have to lift one side of the stock 16mm higher than the other. My first instinct was to cut some scrap piece to that size then i remembered that I can just support the stock on a set up block. Do you use setup blocks? In aim to level the top of a spindle sander with the top of a my sanding station I am using a straight edge and setup blocks from @woodpeckers_tools. Once I know the height of the stack I can quickly cut the right size of the shim from offcuts.
