Out of sheer spite, I have taken the Sessionbox extension and molded it to remove unnecesary blockers (e.g., session limits, free tier limitations, the need to update and give a company that once had this product for free like 100 dollars for the new hobbyist version)

What is Sessionbox you ask? It's the ability to run multiple accounts in tabs, rather than making individual profiles on your browser just to sign into another account. Pretty useful. I use it for switching blogs on the fly.

Enable developer mode for extensions.

Unzip the file. Put the folder somewhere you won't move it.

Load this folder into your extensions by hitting "Load unpacked".

That's it, yippee

I'm sure some of you have started noticing that the extension has not be working properly on Tumblr. I reached out to support to figure out what was going on, and was informed that during a recent update, there was some coding changes on the side of tumblr that cause the extension to no longer work on Google Chrome. At the time, they have no means of fixing this and suggest using the extension on Mozilla Firefox instead. I have tested it for a couple weeks now, and can attest that it is working on firefox.

So as many of you know, when one of your accounts is forcibly given the “testing tumblr beta” thing, it breaks sessionbox to where you can’t log into your other accounts via Sessionbox; well I may have found a workaround to that!

I hear there is trouble with this [SHIT PROGRAM], specifically users of [CHROME]. I'd love input as to what is happening, for I am not experiencing this. It is very likely I need to give my version out. I did make a few more changes, but didn't want to update the link. Let me know your issues.

world's easiest fix. coming right up. well. it WAS easy. more to fix

so here's the problem: google chrome has required all extensions to move to manifest V3, which has some changes on how extensions are allowed to call scripts and the like. this is going to take longer than expected. for anyone eager to get back to their writing, brave browser and opera gx currently still support V2. i will be looking into how to get this working, but i'll likely need someone who has better knowledge on V3 extensions. oop.
