SESSION 33

Buried in red, better off dead. Buried in blue, don’t know what to do.

Elymas normal, was a transformation spell. also silvanesti elves found with elymas' sister, nonaggression agreement. House Mystic's mean. also handling dragon army ransom, likely trap Make sure to make plan. Keep an eye on Elymas, patron, ghost. Sister? Good if ally. Silvanesti are difficult. Don't get killed. the morning starts with Mallori finding a leaf shrouded Alicia, and insist she sleep in a tent next time.

Maple does a shenanigans in Elymas stuff. They like the clicky immovable rod.

along the way, after erei shatters an iron vein, a couple of manticores attack! Poor Levin got spiked. Maple convinced one manticore to jsut walk away. yay!

the other two manticores are slain, however, with Levin getting some pelt and meat. there is a debate about ethical carnivoriousness.

We've been spotted.

We were going to camp, but a purple worm on the horizon has us cliff climb instead. Al returns initially annoyed at us not beign where she told us... but well. purple worm means like "ah. yes. good call."

Levin and Kay split off to do some scouting!

They find in elvish, "house of silence." Kay takes a clues to not make much noise by using message, and they discuss whether to continue or not. Levin suspects cataclysm ties, due to floatiness, before they decide to check. the next floor has stone crypts, and greenish runes. Kay and Levin start feeling weak up here. A warning growl comes from a shadowy figure- and then another. Levin raises his arms in a pacifying manner, as they start to back away slowly. the wraiths attack, and sap the energy from them in attack.

Kay shoots some fire, Levin shoots a moonbeam, and kay has been sent to abscond. Levin joins her, mistystepping out of range. once outside the doors they feel fine! They sneak back in just enough for kay to try and send a message to a wraith to communicate.

"distraction where am i anger who are you" with growling behind it all. Kay recontacts Levin to double check what to do. Levin, uncertain, says try again. "No, no knight, do you know where, my sister is." "what's you sister's name." "(name) are you intruder, where are you, intruding on sacred place." "I'm a friend of Sillion?" "who? where are you. you and your friend." "in the room above!" (lies.) "where. no." "are you looking for your sister?" "yes, I am looking for my sister." "do you know what happened to her?" "No. wheeeeeeeere are you? intruder" "do you know what the cataclysm is." "no." "do you know..." "where is my sister... and where are you." "hello, are you (sister name)" the other wraith just hisses. Kay returns to the first one. "Is your sister dead?" "Dead? no. we are not... dead." "do you know that you are dead?" silence for a while. "You. where are you!" sounding agitated. "do you want to be put to rest?" "an Intruder? rest. rest. why... am i awake? why am i awake? I shouldn't be awake. where is my sister?" "maybe... we can find out what happened to your sister and you can go back to sleep?" "yes. yes. my sister. yes. then. rest." "can you go rest right now?" "WHERE ARE YOU? Intruder. come on out." "we're going to find your sister. can you go back to your bed...?" Back to levin, "I don't think the second wraith is aware of being alive, but the first is partially aware. they want to know where their sister is to go back to rest. the sister probably died before the cataclysm. what do we do? we can't do much..." "Let's regroup, we may find other things?" "do you think i can climb the exterior?" "do you want to try?" "I want to try! :D"

Kay attempts to climb the tower. neither make any success for kay climbing , levin catches. they swap positions! Levin will use his claws!! he succeeds! he can only see a portion of the third floor, however. the green light illuminates the scatterings of yellow bones across the floor. Levin calls down that it's a grave tower. there is no reason to stick around. time to head back!

Maple reads some of Nimako's journal before caught. Mallori robs Kay and Erei. Levin robs Elymas (of the spear head).

ELYMAS FINALLY EXAMINES THE MYSTERY POTIONS. Red: Allows your consciousness to allow otherworldly contact Green: Turns the skin to stone Blue: Orange: Purple: Allows you to receive resistance to poison damage temporarily

We arrive at our destination. A serpentine song fills the air, in draconic: "

Kansaldi Fire Eyes wishes to discuss with us. She's taken notice of our feats and being anuisance to the army. She believes we'll fail anyways, but she wants to offer mercy as a smart choice, should it be the will of the dragon queen. "Hand over the hound."

"What do you want from me?" Alicia "I know of your fame back int eh campaign of silvanesti. I can't say i'm not interested in yoru particular abilities. You can hand her over, she can hand herself over, or i will take her by force. You will not suffer any consequences." Levin steps up. "What abilities in particular." "the ruthlessness to hunt enemies even after teh battle is over. Even inside their own camp my generals weren't safe. Corpses moved on their own. I cannot say that I would not make good uses of such magic." Levin takes this with a glance at Al. "Truthfully, in teh dragon army, such things would be put to better use." Elymas interrupts. "I've got a better offer. If you need corpses to move, I'm better at it then Al is."

Kansaldi seems ok with this. Noone else is. Nimako commands Elymas back, and Erei grabs elymas. Nimako tries tries to reach out to Adie, potentially, but gets Caradoc. Caradoc also isn't wanting this though, surprising her, so she pleas to Caradoc but... Adie says they can maintain the deal even with distance. So, Convinced otherwise, Caradoc... leaves, and possesses Nimako. who is now helping elymas escape. And now Erei is pulling Elymas along over after a failed wisdom save.

Erei is at Kansaldi's command right now. So, Erei is being made to attack the guardful Kay. Kay is forced to flee as the HIghmaster examines Erei before grabbing them by the neck. the neck is pierced, and there is smoke.

Kay mistysteps in and attacks Kansaldi. her fingers are dripping with blood. Levin forces through the barrier, but Erei's neck is broken, and LEvin reaches to see there is death.

Alicia goes dark, and Erei's corpse is brought back to attack. Erei attacks Kansaldi, who grabs Erei by teh hand, letting Erei dangle, before being thrown. She looks at Alicia, and refuses to let her to use erei to attack again, throwing Erei at the Levin who. can't even process to stop this from happening.

The wounds in Erei stitch... enough. Erei barely is back amongst the living. Levin heals all of his companions near him, and summons a weapon of pure glowing.

Elymas at least had been horrified seeing Erei being killed. He didn't realize what he was signing up for. he was too late. it was too late. it was done. In this moment, something interesting happens: Elymas' eyes become dark, as flightless wings let him rush Kansaldi. Kansaldi, Mallori, and Kay are subject to this: Mallor blutns it, but kay is frightened of Elymas. Again. Elymas casts tasha's hideous laughter on Mallori, Alicia, Becklin. Becklin is unaffected. Mallori and Alicia drop laughing to the ground.

Levin is making Erei stay down. it's an order. he sounds PISSED.

Becklin did not want to fight Elymas. but she is. ANd she's the only one not affected by the frighten save thing... she's an ally, after all.

Kansaldi wants Kay's bracers. "over my dead body." "Well. the Dragon Queen must recieve an offer. what better then something taken from those other gods." "And I'll take your eye when you are killed." "Good Luck."

Kay goes to watch Erei, which lets Levin goes for Kansaldi... andd Elymas is going to get in the way. So, Levin attacks. Elymas growls at them both, telling Levin and Becklin to stand down. it's firm enough, with the infused magic, to force Becklin and Levin to flee.

Mallori, again, is unphased. who is this guy to think she'd be afraid? anyways. She pursues elymas as he follows after kansaldi and trips him up with her staff, absolutely just. striking.

Kansaldi is only bringing Elymas with her. She's telling the draconian with her to kill the rest of our party. We're given one last chance to surrender. Kansaldi calls before she goes that there's a mole other then Caradoc, and that the camp is going to be burnt anyways. Elymas surprised expression supports this if it's true.
