I think everyone should work in customer service for minimum 6 months, preferably in a fast food chain or restaurant. I finally got a job only to show up my first day and be told by a coworker that "I'd love it" there while she was like painfully smiling, and then she was talking me through what a day would like like, and casually dropped that??? We don't have a set end time??? And that shifts are usually 12+ hours π«ͺ AND THEN it came time for me to take THE ONE (1) BREAK WE WERE GIVEN FOR THE WHOLE DAY and I took the whole thing, only to be YELLED AT by the supervisor on the prep line. Anyway, I worked an 8 hour shift like I was told I was going to be doing and then I quit.
Over the duration of this shift I was told by like 3 other people that I'd love it there, the family friend who recruited me said I'd love it there, and the training video had people saying how much they loved their job. What the fuck kind of hell did I walk into. Yesterday does not feel REAL bro. Woke up after a 16 hour sleep today feeling like I had just lived through a fever dream
