I saw a new episode of Dateline NBC flashing before my eyes.

I considered being the bigger person and ignoring this but realized that I'm 4'9 so it is literally impossible for me to be the bigger person. I'm going to level with you, as someone, given my chosen profession, has been on the receiving end of death threats from convicted felons who had my name and address. This "anon" isn't going to hurt me like you intended. Nor are the "punishments" for some perceived "crime" that you are offended by.

However, let me break this down for you.

1) Yes. I am a maintainer on the A03 collection (which wonderful use of time seeking that out by the way) because @certifiedceraunophile asked for my help, which I gave. Scandalous. I know. Moving on

2) We shouldn't participate in any events? Really? I will join any public event I want and if that person decides not to let me join for whatever reason, thats on them. Not me. As for private events, I wish those involved good luck and have fun.

3) Awards? Don't nominate me. Its that simple. Being nominated or winning or loosing or anything like that in regards the awards, isn't going to upset me. They are fun, sure but at the end of the day, I don't write for the awards.

I write for myself. Thats it. Period. If that makes you angry, then don't read anything I post. It's that simple.

This fandom is a hobby and the fact that you're taking this so seriously, says more about you than it does any of us. We are just having a good time, enjoying our hobby and sharing gifts among friends.

If anyone is looking like the asshole here, its the person (or people) who is hiding behind an anon instead of asking any of us directly. So if you're so angry and upset that you're acting like a middle schooler that you're resulting to causing online drama, then take off anon and DM me.

I would be more than happy to have a conversation like an adult.

Sure, I can do that. No problem.

But in the future, don’t take your aggression out on a person who didn’t cause a problem on purpose. They’ll be less inclined to listen to you if you’re rude to them.

Besides, usually there are male reader/gender neutral tags you can use to find fics if said fics are written with that in mind. I’d suggest using those instead of yelling at writers.

Also, there’s always the option of if you don’t like something, just stop reading it.
