I finished volume 6 of The Husky and His White Cat Shizun today-- I know, I know. I'm reading it soooo slowly! But I have to keep up on my shows, too! I only have so much free time!
Meatbun is good at describing the sensory apsects of a scene-- how things look, smell, sound, etc., and is very good at conveying desire. Her sex scenes are truly top tier, even if her characters are a little more one-dimensional than MXTX's. (On the other hand, MXTX isn't even very interested in sex. She's more about yearning, which is also fine, but sometimes feels almost prudish to me.)
I am 100% invested in the guilt-love-lust torment nexus that is the Mo Ran and Chu Wanning relationship. What the novel lacks in character depth, it more than makes up for with a plot that is building toward what I think will be a really cool climax.
I need to devote some real time to reading because every time I do, I love this book more.
But first, I gotta catch up on Key to the Phoenix Heart.
