In light of the Revue Starlight international fandom drama
Before I would like to start, I would like to say that I have been on both sides of this: as a creator and as an audience. And I know that this doesn't seem much but this has just been causing me so much distress and I just really want to get this off my chest.
Disclaimer: I am a tad bit emotional because my feelings have been on a high all week, so, forgive me if I seem a bit... irrational and incomprehensible. Also, this is a really, really long post.
If you don't know what's going on in the international fandom (more specifically in the Twitter sphere,) of the anime series, "Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight," allow me to give you a very brief rundown.
Revue Starlight has been known to have live musicals and performances, as well as two movies, an anime series, and as well as several mangas. Recently, last July, its movie and its third live, "Growth" had been available for purchase and for online viewing. Now, here's the issue: a popular Twitter account named, "Revue Starlight International" has been known to translate and offer official announcements to fans--despite it being run independently. This account ceased its operation in connection to the rampant leaking and posting of spoilers, screenshots, and videos, etc. of the movie and live performance. Though it's largely unconfirmed what the true reason is, many speculated that it has had something to do with some viewing parties on Discord, which many fans condemn and label as piracy. Some even claiming that they basically ripped off those who worked hard on the series, itself.
// Serious news guys and I really hope that it doesn’t come down to me being bedridden and all despite me feeling like shit at the moment.
I have covid and now I’m really scared of how things are going to go since I can still smell and taste food but I’m just so worried about other things. I can only hope that I can get through this feeling fine and not losing anything sense wise that I would miss.
I could really only blame my State for not taking this seriously and my family and myself for letting our guard down when we went through 2 years without catching anything.
I really hope that I get better soon and get through this despite my anxiety.
Hi everyone, I know my blog is usually very lighthearted but there’s an issue I’ve seen cropping up a lot (especially in the TSC fandom) and I just want to discuss it. This is obviously not directed at anyone, it’s a general awareness post for everyone.
Basically I’ve noticed that people ask to be in creators (of all type)’s tag lists and then when the post is posted, the person tagged likes it and then moves on. It’s so demotivating! Especially when someone has asked and asked and somehow continued asking about a fic or edit and then they don’t reblog it. This also happens generally, people see creators work and just like it. They may also leave a loving comment, but it doesn’t really feel the same to a content creator. It’s obviously appreciated but, why not reblog it and write your comment in the tags? That way you can spread it too. It’s that easy. This may sound like not too big of an issue but it is, TRUST ME. As a creator of sorts, I know it’s a problem. The reason it’s a problem is that it’s so discouraging to the creators. It feels like people don’t like it enough to have it on their blog. Overall it just causes creators to, after a while, stop making things.
This isn’t Instagram y’all. There’s a reblog button for a reason. The like button, in all honesty, is just a note adder. The reblog button is the important button. That spreads work and means that all your followers can see it. Liking helps no one. Eg. when I see people reblogging my work rather than liking it, I get more excited. Obviously all support is appreciated but reblogging sometimes just helps a creators peace of mind. It means people see it and actively want to show others. It boosts creators confidence so much! More than you can imagine.
It really does hurt when you look at, for example, a meme or shitpost (I think that’s the name given to them? - if not sorry) and it has for example 500 reblogs or 900 reblogs but then the edit or fic that you spent FOREVER making for others to see, gets maybe 100-200 reblogs. It’s obviously different for everyone and all support is really appreciated but it just stings a bit to see your hardwork not getting spread. It’s demotivating and honestly, it’s the reason some content creators just stop making content or delete all their content. Many creators are discouraged in the TSC fandom for that reason and the other, above, reasons.
It’s as if people make Tumblr blogs only to like things and then leave. What’s the pain in reblogging someone’s hard work? Obviously if there’s something triggering to you, please don’t feel obliged to reblog it. It doesn’t make you a bad person because you didn’t reblog it. But if it’s an edit or fic that you LOVED, then why not reblog it? Why not leave some love in the tags? Feedback is an amazing motivator for content creators. It helps SO MUCH! You feel like ah, people did, in fact, enjoy what I made. Then you feel motivated to make more! That’s a plus for content creators - they’re making more content and feeling motivated and appreciated, and for the people seeing content - yay you get more content!
Thank you for listening and if you actually read the whole post (thank you for that), please give it some thought. It’s not meant to target anyone in particular but even if you think ‘Yeah! I reblog loads!’, just give it a thought. If it turns out maybe you don’t reblog much then.... maybe you could start reblogging?
All it takes is one click of a button. It can really lift someone’s day, trust me.

Not to be that person but… why is tumblr so toxic? Like, I’ve encountered more toxic people here than on any other site. Just my experience, idk about you.
Just wanted to clear something up.
BLUE LIVES DON’T MATTER
“Blue Lives” don’t exist. Being a cop is a JOB that you can QUIT. You don’t live your entire life being a cop, and it isn’t something permanent within your existence.
Black lives matter because being black is something you’re born with and live with your entire life, something you can’t change.

I never paid much attention to the autism community not until very, very recently so this video opens up my eyes to the problems discussed.
