❥ Himiko vanished before she could do anything. A glimpse of her sufficed for the visage to shatter in less than a second.
Recalling events, this took the wrong turn for infuriating the inhabitants within the district alpha -- they were tame if not bothered, but it seemed they felt extremely threatened upon their arrival. With the on-going warning of a virus, perhaps they were more susceptible of spreading it among the creatures known as pariahs yet it only became an issue afterwards.
They were cornered by five at least, but the dim light probably obstructed the view if any more were lurking around and ready to attack them. One of them seemed ready to throw itself at them. She’s never been the fighting type but if she didn’t intervene somehow --
“Watch out!” Pulling Naoto behind her is a strange instinct she gets but agrees on following, decided to cover the possible damage despite herself not having her persona’s protecting shields. The idol merely felt a strange rush of adrenaline and calm afterwards upon the emerging of a figure she knows yet never assumed seeing it so close. Yamato Sumeragi stood in front of them. A fireball surges within their fingertips and soon is unleashed toward one of the unfairly dubbed as monsters. Rise backs away from the sudden explosion, arms raised to cover herself from the dust.
Pained screams followed, ear-piercing howls that could make anyone tremble and she denotes her fear and worry rather quick.
“Naoto-kun, what’s going on!?”
You are so rude!

The quiet sound of knuckles on wood echoes throughout the room before the older Magician enters the small office. He’d been on his way out of the building when he’d noticed a light still coming from the detective’s office. “You’re still up?” He asks as he enters, his hand reaching up to loosen the tie from around his neck. Poking his head over her shoulder he takes a peek at whatever it is she’s working on. While he was technically her assistant she still did the bulk of the detective work. Really he just offered his opinion when she asked and did much of the errand work. Still he’d always offer to help out whenever and wherever he could.
“Anything I can help with? I think there’s still some coffee in the break room. Just straight black, right?”
⋘✖⋙ There it goes. A rectangle dead in the middle of his phone screen. Fuyuhiko stared down at the message window with disdain. These assholes and their mass texts. Who did they think they were? He was tired of having his full combo ruined.

THE CONGESTION of this city was incomprehensible, the thought of his fellow citizens living their daily lives in this havoc seemed fragmented, too good to be true almost. His first day at this unknown metropolis and misfortune after misfortune had already begun to arise. Standing midst a somewhat large crowd, doing his best to remain inconspicuous over the fact that he’s clumsily standing atop of the foots of strangers. When being frowned at, an apologetic and sheepish smile would play on his lips followed by the mouthing of an apology would be returned.
Due to his slightly lankiness and gracelessness, it posed a challenge to not somehow injure another within a three second time span. If only he had retained the ability to polymorph into an aerial creature which wouldn’t need to require to trudge through dense and sturdy crowds, except the overseers ‘above’ had decide to deprive him from such an ability. So as if he was a broken record, continuously repeating the same tunes, but in this case the ‘tunes’ being the foots of others instead.
Shouts and complaints were thrown at him, Frank doing his best to not allow them to phase his mood and not let it submerge into negativity. Though among these thoughts which managed to clump his senses, before he could even remotely react the male had crashed into another individual.
Upon making impact, due to his larger frame he had managed to almost ball over the stranger if not for the quick gesture of firmly grasping the other’s limb to falter their fall. Surprisingly, he hasn’t lost his own footing otherwise the pair would end up falling as one, but he didn’t want to jinx it. His tone morphing into one hinted with concern as his inquiry sounded.
❝Woah there! Are you okay, mister?❞
Kido always did her best to stay away from trouble as best as possible, even more so upon her arrival in Hive, a city that not only attracted troublemakers, but gave them slightly enough room to cause uproars. Thus far, she always managed to avoid the biggest mess may it be way, a labyrinth, or being stuck with some strange kind of bug. She supposed that in exchange for her powers, she was given luck, but who knew for how long that was going to last...
Today, it was challenged once again, as Kido was on her way back home from checking out a new bookshop that had just opened recently. Unfortunately, she didn’t have enough money to buy all the books she wanted, making her buy none at all. (She had some odd reasoning when it came to these things) The shop was away a few streets when a stranger ran into her, the collision causing several book - even some of those she wanted - to fall to the ground, the man groaning and cursing at the same time. She wasn’t given a chance to say sorry or ask if he was fine, because another voice intervened, shouting “Hold him steady, do not let him run away!” Kido’s body reacting on it’s own, her arms clinging to the man - apparently a thief, seeing how he kept cursing and demanded to be freed.
Kido kept clinging to him until the other person arrived, thanking Kido for her cooperation after he was taken into custody. “I didn’t really do anything, but no problem.”

A sudden gust of wind was all it took to rip her only card from her grasp, her attempts to reach it caught nothing but air and in a strange twist of misfortunate the card was swept between two elevator doors...and was gone. Retrieving the card seemed like a simple thing, but it seemed as usual nothing was as easy as it appeared. Because through those doors and far beneath the earth lay...human eating plant monsters! Or so she’d overheard. Apparently something awful happened down there, and the ghosts of those lost still lingered underground. Of course she’d not stayed to hear the stories conclusion and had promptly dashed off in the opposite direction. But now, it seemed, she would be forced to see if those stories were true if she was to rescue her lost card.
“I don’t want to go!” A sniff following as small tears formed in the corners of her eyes. She really was scared as her proclamation suggested. “N-No...I have to go, crying wont bring my card back...but I really am frightened,” small hands clench into fists as she attempts to stare defiantly at the elevator doors, but her uncertainty still shows through. If only there was someone to go with her...
