#semi rant

And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.

Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?

It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

Honestly, it's complicated, y'know? While I love their dynamic, I don't see it in a romantic light if that's what you are asking. I don't know if Rek (Youtuber) is okay with being in ships, so I'd rather not push it... It's always good to respect the creators in any way since they are very real people.

If you aren't asking romantically, though: I absolutely LOVE it. To me, Rek (the character) just isn't interested in romance, which makes his brothership with Branzy extra funny, like the helpless romantic ranting about his beloved killer clown (and/or whoever else decided to flirt with him that day) and the romantic avoidant just giving a 1000-yard stare. It's goofy!

I absolutely love the idea of, like, non-blood brothers when it comes to these two. Two people who met long ago and helped each other through so much, to the point they can't help but love each other. They're not always together, but they do get defensive or tricky whenever someone mentions the other in a negative light: Lifesteal World being a good example. But they're also not against messing with each other even while they're not there. To a degree, you can't have one without the other. Their partners, without the dating part!

I will be going into this more on the Rek theory. :)

TLDR: I love Lavendershine, but not as a romantic ship. If we're going off of a brother angle, it's my OTP. Sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for!

1. I know not ALL ST fans think like this, but the juxtaposition of how I've seen multiple people treat/talk about the idea of Henry being redeemable to how they speak about Billy and Kali is nuts.

2. While I do have some (a lot) of gripes about how the show handled Henry/Vecna, I don't hate the character by any means. Jamie Campbell Bower does an incredible job as him.

Would someone please explain to me why Ananas is in the back? I don't mind them being Magic type (cause rock magic and whatever) but why are they in the back???
