It had been a long day for Loqua, her back was a bit stiff from sitting hunched over charting maps for hours, and the calf she was carrying wasn't helping out her back. Yeah, this would definently be their last.
As she made her way to their hut, where she had plans to sprawl out over the entire bed, she noticed something....concerning. It was awfully quiet.
She peered into the hut, and she was greeted with a crime scene!
A bowl of paint was knocked onto the floor, where there was a clear silhouette of the culprit in the puddle of paint, a sea of tiny footprints everywhere, including larger footprints of someone in hot pursuit of the paint spiller, a smear of paint in the vague shape of tiny hands, and a tiny body along the shelves and floor where the culprit was apprehended followed by the larger prints leading out of the hut and towards the sea.
Smirking, she followed the prints where she eventually found Kohv, chest smothered in smeared paint, fighting an indignant and currently vibrant pink Zalfe in the water, trying to clean the paint off her with her kicking and trying her best to wriggle free with their older children standing on the coastline giggling up a storm.
"Sooooo-" She she chittered with a smirk, "Turned your back on the bowl for just a second around the opportunist, didn't you?"
"Don't start!" Kohv huffed, earning an even smugger smile from Loqua.
He smiled as he peered over the ridge that separated the maw and cradle cove. His sister, Ibiki, gave him a firm poke between the eyes after spotting him.
"Impatient!" Ibiki playfully scolded him.
"Please~! You and Mom have been in there keeping me out of the loop for weeks! Show me the goods!" He mock pouted with a fake wail, earning an eyeroll from his twin.
"Okay, okay!" Ibiki chuffed as she held her newborn daughter up where Fjord could see.
"Oh, she's so gweeeeeen-" Fjord chittered with a goofy grin, reaching over the ridge, wiggling his fingers to get the calf's attention, "Just like Fyrr!"
"She's got his scowl too!" Selora hollard wading up alongside Ibiki.
"OH NO!" Fjord exclaimed turning around to look down at Fyrr "YOUR SCOWL? My gawd! I don't think I can handle two of your scowl."
"Haur haur....very funny." Fyrr chuffed playfully rolling his eyes as he also climbed up to take a look.
