look, i struggled through high school with depression and low self esteem, and got to a point where i didn’t actually know who i was without it. hetalia helped a lot with that; i found a group of friends, all of whom loved the show, and immediately they accepted me. we used to... i suppose it was live rp? but i would be prussia.

there are only so many times you can yell “i am awesome” across the school, in character or not, before you start to believe it. in sorta rebuilding myself beyond just being depressed, prussia was my sort of rock and reference. i wanted to be just like him, confident and outgoing and fun, and while i didn’t become exactly alike, he gave me the confidence to stand on my own two feet and NOT hate myself 24/7.

i like to think that i owe my personality and my current, relatively decent, mental state to him, and that’s why i’m never letting go of this show.

It must have been hard... And even if there are more obstacles ahead, keep your chip up and believe in yourself. Because life is made of challenges and we are here to overcome them 😉 like we say here "pegar o touro pelos cornos" that translating to English ends up like this "take the bull by the horns"... Which means kick life' *ss, specially if she is being a b****.
