I ran and ran,

I ran so fast.

I chased and chased,

until I fell apart.

The ghosts of tomorrow.

The shadows of my past.

They come and go,

they are tormentingly fast.

I kept running

and I kept wishing.

Wishing to catch my shadow

and hold it in my palms.

One day all at once

my wish came true.

I could finally touch

the shadow's dark hue.

Blinded my it's beauty I didn't realize

when my shadow overtook me.

Now I'm just a shadow
