bought an Ultramarine shellac ink, but I was very disappointed, because it looks almost violet, compared to Ultramarine watercolors from White Nights and Schmincke. I think I will have to continue making my own Ultramarine inks, so now I tried to make my first shellac ink. I have some self made shellac solution left from painting flutes in late summer. Problem is the amount of alcohol needed to avoid lumping when the ink is diluted with water. At the moment I do it by triy and error. I hope it will be possible to store the shellsc inks for a long time. Otherwise, the milk inks work at least as well, and it is much easier, faster and cheaper to make them. The Uktramarine pigment I use is from Sennelier. #handmadeinks #ultramarineblue #shellacink #milkink #selfmadeinks #inkexperiments #pigments #watercolorjourney https://www.instagram.com/p/B4qYcHGIRj4/?igshid=s0b0204bcm4c
