Trans girl here. What does testicular cancer look/feel like? I have some sort of swelling that hurts a lot but since I'm homeless I don't want to seek out a doctor unless necessary
If you have a lump on one of your testicles, especially a new one, that is something that requires immediate medical attention. It may be something benign but cancer is a very real possibility. Unlike breast cancer, testicular cancer is often painful to some degree.
Each one should have a small bump called the epidymis located on the upper/outer side where blood vessels and the spermatic cord connect and that’s normal.
I understand not being able to see a doctor easily or cheaply, but when it comes to cancer debt is preferable to dying, certainly of one of the cancers with the highest survival rate (~99% with early treatment). Treatment may involve anything from injections to chemotherapy to radiation to surgical removal (insert poor taste joke about the irony of that).
My apologies for this sitting in the inbox a few days.
