comments are so important to writers and I didn’t realize how much until I got my first ones
I’ve been writing since I’m 11 (started with Justin Bieber fiction yup u can laugh) but I’ve never received that many comments until I started the fanfiction on ao3.
I was already overwhelmed by the kudos, seeing them going higher and higher every week was impressive and Im really grateful for all of this. Perhaps I’m overreacting but nobody told me before that my writing was making them smile, laugh and that they were having fun reading it. I was really shocked because I started that fic at night, with my insomnia and I was like "what if I put some of my dumb jokes here?" And here I am, six chapters after. The inspiration that I have is insane, I’ve wrote almost all of my life but I wasn’t consistent. Starting project then dropping it. Never going to the chapter fourth. Always giving up. But I’m currently on chapter six on the Mess In His Life, chapter three is still in work for The Dark Alley and I’m pitching a new idea right now.
Yes I like having comments, I need comments to know if I’m doing bad or if I’m doing bad. I am grateful to those who takes their time to write something, even if it’s three words. If I made someone laugh with my writing, I am truly truly happy. Those comments is my strength. I write 6K a day when I couldn’t even do that before.
I wish I could keep doing that but in my projects. But I believe for now, I’ll keep writing my fan fictions as they are making me happy.
Thank you to the readers that comments. Truly, an unconfident writer.
