In reality, it really isn’t that many paparazzi, probably only about 9ish people, which could easily sneak in to a hotel if they’re discreet and come in one at a time or in small numbers. Katniss is panicked, so she sees everything as more dramatic than it actually is, thus thinking there are more people than there are and calling it a “sea” of people. Let’s be honest, she’s not a people person. While Katniss and Peeta are talking at the bar the paparazzi are hanging back and watching, it’s not until the couple starts to kiss that they move in for pictures.

As far as being separated, Peeta was trying to pull Katniss along the bar by her hand. Perhaps if I had mentioned her hand was sweaty with fear it would have been more believable that her hand would have slipped from his. Paparazzi are bastards and will do just about anything to get a shot, pretty well invading your personal space to get a picture. If they were pressing close and the two lost their grip on each other, they could be separated. At least, that’s how I see it in my head.

Hi everyone!

Well, finally...SM is back. We'll just consider it an extra-long hiatus to go along with all those shows on winter break.

Only mine was like a fall break.

Ugh.

As I ask, I bend down, reaching for the small clutch I'd dropped on the ground when I'd arrived. I fumble with the clasp, trying to get to the cell phone stashed inside.

Madge sighs, and I hear the sound of the toilet flushing as the sound of the running faucet stops. I wait for the door to open, but it doesn't. Instead, from the other side of the door I hear Madge say the last words I'd ever expected.

So...I'm a terrible person for not updating for....well, forever. But I'm praying you'll all forgive me. The semester is drawing to a close and I'm busier and fatter than every with this damned adorable parasite inside me, but I'm determined to get this chapter posted soon. Baby Jude is finally starting to get along with my body better....

So, again, forgive me my wonderful, amazing readers. I've let you down, but I'll endeavor to not continue to.

I cannot breathe. A deadly cold slides up my spine, spreading through every limb until I'm choking on the fear. I stare at Gale and Madge, who's still a little green from yesterday, mentally screaming at them to counter what Peeta's just said.

"Prim?" I gasp, her name a whisper through the squeeze in my throat to come out as a wheeze between my lips

I know Peeta's hands are on mine, but I can't feel them. All I can feel is the cold of stinging, paralyzing fear.
