we've talked about this before and i still think it's best if it's something in between. like imo no gay person is completely unaware that something's 'wrong' with them, no gay person is unaware of the attachment they're developing towards their best friend, but the unconscious fear of being gay keeps them from putting it all together. is how i see it. and how i like to see it, ofc your interpretation is also possible
Yeah ia this is totally legit and a fair take imo, and probably closer to how I interpret him usually. But it pretty much boils down to how repressed you (general you) think Griffith is I guess. I can buy an interpretation of his character where heâs self-aware of his feelings and orientation and knows heâs pining, or an interpretation of him where itâs something he refuses to acknowledge to himself until he has no other choice lol, or something in between (like idk maybe he knows he lusts after Guts but refuses to acknowledge heâs also head over heels in love with him?)
Like for me theyâd all make for good fic potential lol
