オオカミウオ
オオカミウオは、スズキ目・オオカミウオ科に分類される魚の一種です。その名の通り、頭部がオオカミに似ていることが特徴で、大きな口と鋭い歯を持ちます。主に熱帯や温帯の海に生息し、海底近くで待ち伏せをして小魚などを捕食します。全長は最大で2メートルを超えることもあり、大型の個体は非常に獰猛です。独特の風貌と捕食シーンから「海のギャング」とも呼ばれます。オオカミウオは食用にもなり、白身で美味とされていますが、卵や内臓には毒を持つ種類もいるため注意が必要です。独特な姿と生態から、水族館などで展示されることも多く、ダイバーや海洋生物ファンに人気の魚です。
