Secret Network Plans Major Migration From Cosmos to Arbitrum
Secret Network has proposed leaving the Cosmos ecosystem and migrating to Arbitrum, one of Ethereum’s leading Layer-2 networks.
If approved by governance:
• SCRT balances will be snapshotted on September 1. • An ERC-20 version of SCRT will be issued on Arbitrum. • The ecosystem will gradually transition toward Ethereum infrastructure.
The team says the decision is motivated by several factors:
• AI systems are dramatically improving vulnerability discovery in older blockchain codebases. • Cosmos has experienced declining liquidity, developer activity and ecosystem growth. • Arbitrum provides stronger developer infrastructure and significantly deeper DeFi liquidity.
The proposal follows the recent Axelar–Secret bridge exploit and comes shortly after security concerns surrounding Zcash, where an AI-assisted review helped uncover a critical vulnerability.
