Does it mean something when Sebastian cut the flower here?

Also, can I ask, in your opinion, what flower that remind you of either Ciel or Sebastian? Why do you think that?
Hello dear Anon,
thank you for your interest into my opinion and also what this picture means.
Let's begin with the meaning of this act of cutting the lily.
You need to know, that a white lily symbolizes purity, rebirth and sympathy. To cut the open flower head like that, transports negative interpretations.
However. Cutting a beautiful, open bloom is so destructive, it can represent a deliberate rejection of what the lily stands for. It could stand for rejecting the love of beginning with someone, who gifted the white lily.
Since white Lilies are frequently used in funerals, it also could mean that the death is near or that the life is cut short.
The last two meanings are interesting, because we do know a character in Kuroshitsuji that is always symbolised with a white lily. And that certain person isn't on their good side.
That the white lily also is covering exactly that eye, that holds the mark of Sebastian's and Ciel's contract can be also a hint.
But let's not ignore another flower in this picture. Because it's also importand to look closer at the red rose inside of Ciel's teacup.
The red rose is a heavy meaning for a deep passion and love, while the teacup is the container - fragile, tiny and filled to the brim, where already petals are falling out.
It could mean, that the powerful love is at risk of being spilled, lost or broken. Since the petals are falling from only one side, because Ciel is tipping it away from himself symbolizes an act of letting go of a powerful love.
Also it could be seen as a sacrificial act.
Ciel is letting go of the beautiful and passionate love for their own or the good of the other person.
And last but not least.
The fallen lily petals. They symbolizes a innocence that has ben scattered, lost and broken.
To bring all of this together, it seems to me, that the picture represents deep feelings of the human heart. It tells a story about a beautiful and powerful love that is so intense and overwhelming, that it has broken the state of innocence. Ciel is letting go of it, and it's release is spilling over his already lost innocence, where it leaves a trail of broken purity.
Either Yana wants to tell us, that Ciel and Sebastian are on the edge of their intense love.
Or it's about Ciel finally letting go of his love for his brother, and killing him for saving Sebastian.
The second Question deserves an own post, so please be patient 🖤💙.
