It's been said to death but I'll always appreciate the ways feedism gives you permission to simply enjoy food without guilt. If you can't tell, I love cooking, and before deciding to get into feedism for myself I always felt like I was doing something wrong no matter what. Either I use uNhEaLtHy ingredients and enjoy the meal fully, or skimp out and swap the good stuff for "skinny" stuff to keep from gaining weight, at the cost of a sadder meal.
Now I cook with whole milk or heavy cream instead of sad, substanceless skim milk because it actually tastes good and I'm done wasting time worrying about my body. I don't wring my hands over dessert; I eat as much as I like and stop when I'm done, not when I've hit an arbitrary calorie ceiling. As long as it won't hurt me or make me sick, I eat until I'm satisfied. Food tastes better without nagging bullshit about "getting too big" at the front of my mind, because enjoying myself and getting fat means I'm doing it right.
