Ingredients: 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and boneless. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped. 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped. 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped. 1 egg, beaten. 1 tbsp Dijon mustard. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Red onion slices. Mayonnaise or tartar sauce for topping.
Instructions: Cut the salmon fillet into small pieces and place them in a food processor. Pulse the salmon until it becomes finely chopped but not pureed. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, red onion, red bell pepper, cilantro, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape them into burger patties. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Grill the salmon burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a salmon patty, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Spread mayonnaise or tartar sauce on the top half of the buns, then place them on top of the assembled burgers. Serve your Seattle Salmon Burgers hot with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
