~ Sound of Surviving ~ The feeling of despair led me to paint this piece because I felt alone in this world. I sent this to a friend and he found inspiration. He composed a song (the instrumental audio) inspired by this painting. I had no words to describe that feeling of how my artistry can actually have an impact on someone. But I knew for a fact that music (and the artistry it takes to produce it) always had an impact on my soul; from the instrumental composition to the lyrics to the vocals. Every single emotion or experience I've ever had, there was always a song out there waiting for me to discover it. That's how I knew I was not alone in my feelings. This is my truth: without music, death would be knocking on my door. So let me ask you this, what does survival sound like to you?
