Slim fingers gilded with rings and jewels ran down the length of his arm and intertwine with his larger ones as she hums a laugh into silence. Skin to skin, rings knock against each other as Rapunzel pulls him closer, tilted her head just so to press a kiss to his jaw. There is a gasp to her left, followed by hushed whispers heard even over the sound of music. She kisses him again, a little closer to the dimple on his cheek and the whispers break into scattered fragments.
“We’ve got the whole court talking.” Her amusement is apparent, the glimmer of mischief dancing gracefully across the green of her eyes. Their friendship had sparked rumors even before there was anything to gossip about, but now that there was cause, she wanted to put it to an end. Corona was built on the joining of two kingdoms, why should her heart be treated any different?
She kisses him a third time, a peck, her tongue flicking just long enough to give him a taste of the Coronian wine she had for dinner. The little sigh after, however, hints to what she’d like for dessert. “Let’s go for a walk. I think we’ve made our point, don’t you?”
