SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 6, 2020) -- As a show of force against increased Communist Chinese maritime aggression in the region, two United States Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carriers....USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76)....sail through the contested waters together -- with their cruiser and destroyer escorts nearby, and part of their air wing overhead.

The red dashed line shows how much of the South China Sea is now claimed by the Communist Chinese. International Law of the Sea, threatened regional nations, and the United States of America, say otherwise!

400 frames and a month and a half of work for my first animation. I sure wish I had just a bit more time to make sure the animation wasn't so shaky and well clunky? I'm not a fan of the 1st and 4th scenes(Aterdrae sitting in the mountain opening).
Disco Elysium introduced me to Sea Power's discography and one of my all-time favorite songs: Want To Be Free. It suffices to say that I adore this song and Sea Power's works in general.
Drawn: charcoal on paper and photographed by phone. Frame editing: Paint. Net Rendering: Tahoma2D Video editing: Shotcut Music: Want To Be Free by Sea Power. I had to cut out a good chunk of it so I could get the "want to be free" drop in my short animation. I couldn't get it to be seamless :(
