âKama, were you able to collect the sanitation samples?â Dex asked, slipping a pair of goggles over his eyes.
âSamples that havenât tainted by the salty water of the ocean. Be careful. Thatâs all I could find.â He replied.
âItâs more than we could ask of you.â
The group gathered around the lab table, slipping on their lab gear and sorting research papers they scrounged up in a hurry at night. They were hoping to some out of the place with a cure for sanitation.
Along the Sharkling king and former Kamabo CEO were select Inkling scientists enlisted by Millie, a few of the Octarianâs most esteemed researchers and chemists, and the King and Queen of the Octarians themselves, Octavio and Veronica. Seanna, although not versed in science herself, came to watch over operations.
âReally, I just wish my other memory compartments werenât destroyed in the wreck of the facility. I know I had the complete contents of the sanitation formula in them, and it wouldnât be such a hassle now.â
âWell, whatever, we canât change it. All we can do now is put all our effort into solving this mess. We donât have much time - Emmy is on the verge of losing herself.â
âAnd once we find the cure, I can use it to cure my people which were so needlessly sanitized.â Octavio added, Kama sinking into his own little puddle of guilt, avoiding eye contact with him.
âWeâre combining all of our intelligence together for this,â Aster nodded. âInklings, Octolings, and Sharklings. I know we can do this together!â
The team wrapped up their pep talk and began to test the goo, careful to not touch it in the event that they may become sanitized themselves.
Kama mumbled softly to himself, swishing the goo around in the flask. âPerhaps....perhaps if the professor were still around, we could easily analyze the substance without hassle and find a cure....â
