maka is a genetic JACKPOT.

lets think about it for a very quick moment ok? maka is (part) japanese with blonde hair and green eyes. not only does this mean that maka’s mother need to also be hapa to carry those genes, it means that those were recessive genes that maka was able to snatch. even if mother over here was typically asian with the (beautiful) browns, it means that maka beat the odds to obtain her blonde and her green. not to mention that green is also a mutation/super super rare summon gene in itself. i don’t feel the need to explain spirit because we can actually see him and see that he probably carries those recessive genes.

so maka is not only blessed with one of the rarest color combos, but she also has a grigori-one-in-a-million soul, got anti-demon wavelength, and powerful af soul perception.
