Dread flooded Freya when she saw the figure looming appearing before her. It had been enough to cause her heartbeat to immediately rise when the mark had shone itās eerie form in the sky. Sheād attempted to get herself into the nearest shop but sheād frozen to the spot as they began to apparate around her. At first she hadnāt been spotted and that had given her the chance to run once she found the ability to direct her feet once more. Freya had tried to get herself to a point where she could stay unseen until the worst had passed. Life, it seemed, had other ideas however and it was the voice, that familiar timbre, her name falling from his lips in the way it had way back when they were friends that froze the very blood in her veins.
āWell look who it is... Miss Freya MacDougal.ā Even if she hadnāt recognised his voice as that of her ex-fiancĆ©sā best friend, there was no questioning that he knew her personally from his words. The calm in his voice edged with what sounded like amusement displayed his enjoyment of the situation he currently had her in, cornered in a dead end like a trapped rabbit.
When her ex had been put behind bars, Freya had thought, or rather hoped, that it would be the end of the nightmare sheād been put through for so long and suffered through in relative isolation. Not being able to share with her family or friends what had happened to her for fear that they would be targeted and lying to them about the situation had been the most difficult part of the whole situation and now... well it felt like she was watching the months painstakingly replay right before her eyes all over again.Ā

Youāve proven quite difficult to track down little rabbit.ā A nickname given to her by her ex. One she was less than fond of these days and for good reason.Ā āWho would have thought you would end up back here...ā He tutted.Ā āItās really rather lax of you. Itāll only make this all the more enjoyable.āĀ Freya was far from stupid. She knew that whilst she was capable with spells and could fight her own corner, that the male in front of her had been trained to kill and did not have the same sort of mercy that she felt. Freya didnāt want to hurt anyone but the situation was one in which she knew she couldnāt hold back anything. She didnāt have a choice if she wanted to see this through. Sheād hoped for an opportunity to escape but so far none had presented itself and honestly, she was tired of running, she was tired of the male mocking her and she was tired of being made to feel so small and vulnerable when she was anything but. If she was to die, she wouldnāt go down without a fight. No more waiting. Knuckles white where she was gripping her wand, the woman brought it up as she met fire with fire as the spells began to flash and boom in the street.

Diana did heard that little voice in her head telling her to turn back to safety before she no longer had that option, but she chose to ignore it. She was smart for Merlinās sake and it wasnāt like she planned to actually walk into the middle of a fight. Her camera was pretty good so she could take whatever photo she needed from a rather safe distance. There was no need to get close to anything too dangerous so everything was going to work out and she would have a great story. Diana managed to find herself a good hiding spot and would wait for a proper moment. Perhaps hiding between bin bags was not the most dignified place, but at least it wouldnāt be an obvious one to be, or so she hoped. She wasnāt exactly sure how long she spent there, but when she finally heard some fighting nearby, she decided to give it a go. Everything wouldāve worked according to her genius plan if it wasnāt for the noise the bags made when she was trying to get out. She quickly looked around, trying to find a new spot to hide in case someone heard her, but there was nothing.Ā āOh shit,ā she could only say when she heard the approaching footsteps and found herself face to face with a Death Eater. Her wand shook in her hand and she knew she fucked up. She probably was no match for a dark wizard, but she wasnāt going to go down without fighting.

EVENT 029 - LOCKDOWN
Itās a sunny day in Diagon Alley. With all the students back at school for the summer term, everyone else is enjoying the weather while they can, keeping Death Eaters far from their minds... until they come knocking at their doors. With a flash and a few bangs, the narrow street descends into darkness. The streets of Diagon Alley are suddenly bathed in a ghastly emerald glow as a Dark Mark crowds the sky. Windows are shattered and there are a few screams to get inside before shops are locked down.
Since the attack on Hogsmeade, many security measures have been put in place in highly populated wizarding areas, Diagon Alley included. When buttons are pressed, shutters come down, doors are bolted and protective spells are activated. There is no way to get in or out until the lockdown is reversed. This doesnāt stop the Death Eaters from causing havoc outside. Aurors and hit wizards are called to the scene while residents and shoppers alike hide inside, cowering in fear or fighting to get out...

In celebration of five years of SDHQ, we are bringing the drama !!
This event is a lockdown of Diagon Alley that will start on 13th of May at 12 noon GMT and end on 27th of May at the same time.
In three days time, we will release a list of everyone who is locked down in Diagon Alley and where they are as well as the aurors and hit wizards involved in defending the street outside. If you have a muse who currently works or lives in Diagon Alley, we will automatically assume that they are locked down where they work or live. We ask that everyone else who has a muse theyād like in the lockdown, message the main with their name and the shop/location they are locked down in and same goes for if you have a muse who works there you donāt want involved in the lockdown. Regarding aurors and hit wizards, we will also assume that most if not all fully trained ones are involved unless told otherwise. Those in training will need to message the main. And, of course, everyone outside of the lockdown can be involved in the event via text and call threads.
Please use the tag #sdhqlockdown for your starters, not #sdhqevent as this is for admin use only. As this is something for everyone to be involved in in one way or another, we do ask that any non event threads be put on hold so there is no need for this tag.
She hadnāt realised just how much Bellamy had been helping her cope with how scared she was until he was gone. She knew he was coming back, she knew she wouldnāt lose him, but the fear was still crawling up her throat and making her feel like she couldnāt breathe. Lalita regretted ever asking about her motherās scars, regretted ever hearing the story of the Battle of Hogwarts, because it was that propelling her fear in that moment. That something so terrible could happen to her friends. Sheād made sure she was sat in a place quite far away from other people, because she knew she had a reputation, one she didnāt want to tarnish, but all she could do was cry. Her entire body shaking with her quiet sobs, her knees curled up to her chest so she could hide her face, fear ruling her completely.
