💙🧡➡️ @kypseliprintstudio I’m pleased to announce the new workshop dates for May & June 2023: May 4 week course, Tuesday evenings, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th 7pm - 10pm Monoprinting, Sunday 7th May, 2pm - 5pm June 4 week course, Monday evenings 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th 4 week course, Wednesday evenings 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th 7pm - 10pm This 4 week course is suitable for absolute beginners and intermediate level. It will give you a good grounding in screen printing and give you the opportunity to really explore ideas. You will learn how to design and produce a 4 or 5 colour registered screen print and be introduced to photographic halftone printing at the end of the course if you finish your first print. Session 1 – You will be introduced to the technique of screen printing and shown various examples of work. You will learn about layers and prepare a 4 layer stencil analogue style (with cut out paper / hand painted/drawn). Session 2 – You will learn how to coat and expose your screen, learn about colour mixing and how to print the first layer of your edition. You will make an edition of 8. Session 3 – You will continue to print the other layers of your edition and finish your print. Session 4 – You will be introduced to the technique of halftone photographic printing.
