She’s following her GPS to Redding, an assignment waiting for her there. Branna is with her parents, having fun with maimeó and daideó and  uncail Damien, so Arianna isn’t worried about her daughter. She’s finishing up a call with them when she hits a dog in the road.

It startles her enough that she panics, and her mam has to talk her through checking the poor animal and then getting it into her car to take it to a vet. GPS says there’s one nearby, in a town called Beacon Hills. She hangs up with her parents, and drives. 

The flashes bothered Stiles to no end.  

The eighteen year old had just had his world turned upside down by news that Tony Stark was his biological father, and his ‘dad’ was just a stepfather.  Something that both parties had kept from him until the night he turned eighteen.

And now there were bright lights flashing at him as paparazzi and press tried to get their shot.

Steve Rogers came in to one side, covering him with a towel while Bruce Banner did the same on the other side, getting him into the Tower without a panic attack being triggered.

Up to the Penthouse, and then the rocking started.

He sat down heavily, rocking back and forth to try and calm himself.

“How did they know?  I want the leak found and terminated.  NO, I didn’t mean kill them.  I want them fired.  We don’t kill people for things like this.”

Looking up at Tony Stark, he started rocking faster.

“Hey kiddo.  I know this is a lot to take in.  Which is why I called for Scott McCall to come keep you company while I sort this out.  Scott is around your age.  He’s Bruce’s protégé.  Do you think having someone your own age around might help?”

It was a good question.

“Is he going to hero worship me for being your son?”

Tony couldn’t stop the small uptick of his lip.

“No.  He’s been around the Avengers before.  I don’t think you being my son will trigger that.”

Stiles nodded.

Scott sighed, shaking his head. “Then when, Caroline? When should I be here? After Tyler messes up again? After he abandons you and hurts you, like every. single. time?” He asked, frustrated with himself and his own feelings for the blonde in front of him. “I can’t do this anymore, Care. I need to know. Am I just a game to you?

there’d been a mouthful of ritz crackers in allison’s mouth when scott suddenly flicked on the kitchen lights, and the huntress damn near ended up snorting the crumbs out through her nose. didn’t though, thank the gods. “you could’ve given me a heart attack!” she exclaimed, hand risen to her mouth to chew and swallow her food a little more politely; not that she should have been up at 3am, munching away, anyway.

Was Erica starting to doubt the decisions she’d made in the last few months? Yes, not that she’d ever admit that to anyone. Since becoming a werewolf she’d done terrible things, things she could barely believe. She threw Stiles in the bin, Stiles who she’d had a crush on since she was a kid. Maybe Derek wasn’t doing what was best for all of them.. 

She was so lost in her self doubt that she didn’t notice that Scott had approached her table in the library.
