You might not have heard from me or seen many posting from me this last week. Wonder why? We all have dreams and wishing list or a bucket list??? One of my ones is to travel down the Antarctic!!! This posting is on Macquarie islands on the way watching a very large bird called a Northern Petrels. I have also seen the Ki g, rockhopper, royal and Gentoo penguins plus many Albatrosses along with sea lions and southern elephant seals too. Many more to come. Loved the flora on the island too I have always wanted to go there. Why?? Mainly just to be there to breath in the crispy cool air plus to see wild life at this best. So at present I am in very rough seas for the couple of days when we should hit icebergs 🧊 and get to #scottbase #scottbaseantarctica. Incredible. This wind has blown all the sea ice out of McMurdo Sound, which usually extends about 10 miles from McMurdo and Cape Armitage.
