PRAYERS FOR SOUVENIR " So what did you get us this time! " My sister exclaimed with excitement Sitting among the things from my rucksack Scattered all around the floor I look up And smile, I say, this time I got you prayers. She looks at me irritated "Give me your hands" I request her She glared at me with utter confusion This time I smile brighter as I hand each of my sisters a cute animal hat. Seeing the souvenir in my hand Both my sister hug me and one tell me "I thought you really didn't bring me anything So this prayer and all what was it" I say look inside and she puts her hand in the cap and feels the plastic rustle. Taking it out she looks at me I say "here it is what I meant when I said prayers." It's a Tibetan flag. These flags from the Buddhist culture have "Om Mani Padme Hum" written on the five colour flags strung on a string This flag don't carry the deep meaning mantra to God rather the mantras printed on the flags are carried on the wind and believed to spread goodwill and positive energy wherever they go. There is so much more. The five colors they hold a lot of significance in themselves. I could go on and on but I will stop, for you to find out more about it if you are enthusiastic, on your own. "Why do you know so much" my sister asks me I smile again and I say "its because I care and I care to know people and places completely new and unique in there own way. I care " Travelling is not just pictures and pretty aesthetics it's so much more. The people, the culture, the stories they teach their children and so much more and knowing how short life is, I want to learn as much as I can explore.
