SONG OF THE DAY #86: California by Metro Station (Metro Station, 2007)
This reminds me of: 2008, even though I don't have any recollection of ever actually hearing this song
Favorite lyrics: N/A...I can't even pretend.
Why: I got 3 or 4 songs the entire album by Metro Station from my sister. I still really like Shake It and Kelsey. I didn't really enjoy Goodbye and Goodnight and this song...I mean, I didn't even know I had it. I swear, I've NEVER listed to it. And, you know, it's Metro Station so I don't think I will again. Ha.
SONG OF THE DAY LXII: Viva La White Girl by Gym Class Heroes by (As Cruel As School Children, 2006)
This reminds me of: Laid back Friday nights at a fraternity house (yes, they happen), Spring 2007 & 2011, elevator rides...this is a scong so some of these memories aren't even really for this song.
Favorite line: "Isn't it fun how music makes your lips numb?"
Why: This line can mean so many things, but right now I'll take as speaking to the powerful effect that music sometimes has on people.
SONG OF THE DAY SESANTA: Surrender by Ashlee Simpson (Autobiography, 2004)
This reminds me of: Fall of Jr. year of HS, someone who got me this CD as a birthday gift (Actually, this is a scong. The more popular tracks on the album remind me of those things.)
Favorite line: N/A
Why: This was never a song that I paid much attention to on her album. But listening to it now, it's not half bad, especially compared with today's music.
BONUS!: Haven't listened to this song enough to have a favorite line, but memorable lines are: "Look out your window/my sunshine's all around" and "Open your eyes/don't you know that it's your life?"
