It’s not till Theo rolls to a stop at the bar his partners said they wanted to go to that he realizes he lost them somewhere on the drive over. He winces internally, taking his helmet off while watching how Kira and Scott come pulling in.
“Asshole! What was that?” Kira’s first to whip into the parking space beside Theo, an arched brow and unimpressed face when her helmet gets pulled off.
“Uh—.” There’s nothing Raeken can say, he gets so caught up in his head while riding he often forgets that he has people following him. And he likes speed, a lot of it, unlike Scott who prefers to stay riding at the speed limit. Kira would argue that Scott’s just following the law but Theo finds it rather annoying to stay at such a “slow” pace.
“Babe you really gotta slow down, you swerve around cars like you’re invincible.” Scott’s tone is much softer than Kira’s. Theo almost says that he’d heal if he got hit, and that Scott’s a veterinarian so he’d know how to fix Theo anyways, but he keeps his mouth shut.
“I know, I’m sorry. Wanna go in now?” He flashes the best smile he can and thankfully, Kira and Scott grin back. Hopefully he won’t be stuck sleeping on the couch tonight.
