Since TFP Starscream "may or may not have been a scientist before the war" (thank you tfwiki for nothing.) I'm gonna learn towards yes, baseline tfp Starscream was a scientist before the war and he's delighted to explore it more again

Holy shit you can't radiocarbon date a Cybertronian because they have low levels of carbon and they're too fucking old. Radiocarbon dating can only go back 50,000 and most of then are 1 million years or even older.
