Get K.Flayâs new album, âEvery Where Is Some Where,â out now: http://smarturl.it/EWISW K.Flay âHigh Enoughâ (Lyric Video) available now for download and stre...
Lesson 13: Part III (EdgeMaking Habits Journal Prompts)
I chose this lyric video because I found the symbolism in it already really apparent, but I knew that the inclusion of extra âvisual grammarsâ and sketches would only help to visualize the imagery in this song even further so. I find it a great choice, K Flay has a voice like no other where I think she can sing things with just enough spunk, but can still keep everything delicately sounding. The theme in the song is apparent enough, but Iâd like to add to it by describing how some people use drugs and other means as their escape, but what about when youâre feeling âHigh Enoughâ?
ââWhat if I donât need anything but what Iâve got?â There are many moments in my lifeâwhether itâs because of a person or a placeâthat I donât want to feel altered or high or buzzed. I just want to feel exactly what Iâm feeling.â - K Flay

Part III: Exploration of Perspective (Lesson 2)
In terms of the quote, âWhen you change the way you look at things, the things you look at changeâ - Wayne Dyer, this is a concept of creativity. It is a way of abstraction and perspective. Your thoughts on something is based off a filter you have and the creative mindset or spin on an idea. Therefore if you change how you look something, the way that it looks to you will be different.Â

Lesson 7: Part III (EdgeMaking Habits Journal Prompts)
Prompt: Rate the Fun Factor
Listening to Music: Creation, Euphoria, Pleasure, Anxiety, Ecstasy, Inspiration, Intoxication, Relief, Tension, Delight, Zeal
Cardio: Multi-sensory, Exploration, Surprise, Excitement, Sense of Accomplishment, Full-Body Involvement, Transformation, Ability to be Physically Moved, vicarious, competition, Frenzy, Positivity
Movies/Shows: Aesthetics, Audio-Visual, Surprise, Excitement, Challenge, Sense of Accomplishment, Music ( ;) ), Puzzle, Narrative, Ability to be Physically Moved, Inspired
Socializing: Entertainment, Surprise, Excitement, Sense of accomplishment, Mingle, Broadening, Humanizing, Refining, Widening, Uplifting, Competition.
These all have their various aspects of fun, by using the Characteristics of Fun portion, it looks like Cardio seems to give the most fun, which makes sense because itâs a Challenging fun, but it could be added even more to by joining friends with cardio or doing that while listening to music!
The Egg
By: Andy Weir
You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And thatâs when you met me.
âWhat⌠what happened?â You asked. âWhere am I?â
âYou died,â I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
âThere was a⌠a truck and it was skiddingâŚâ
âYup,â I said.
âI⌠I died?â
âYup. But donât feel bad about it. Everyone dies,â I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. âWhat is this place?â You asked. âIs this the afterlife?â
âMore or less,â I said.
âAre you god?â You asked.
âYup,â I replied. âIâm God.â
âMy kids⌠my wife,â you said.
âWhat about them?â
âWill they be all right?â
âThatâs what I like to see,â I said. âYou just died and your main concern is for your family. Thatâs good stuff right there.â
You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didnât look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.

A key or door to creativity? :)
Lesson 14: Part V (Passion Question)
What was the most recent event or action youâve done that has made a sizable impact on your life? For myself, this was attending Coachella for the first time and meeting some people who inspired me to not just follow the âstandardâ career paths but to really do something Iâd enjoy doing. Sounds obvious, but I never really put it to such a thought!
Lesson 14: Part IV (Creative âMakeâ Challenge)
Interviewee One:
He finds himself too connected to his phone, where itâs the first thing he checks when he wakes up and he tends to stay on it too much late at night. He plans to fix this by making more of a morning schedule where he goes to the bathroom, does a small ab workout/make breakfast and then check his phone. By engraving this morning routine, he hopes to help with the bad habit and he also wants to try doing a no electronics thing after a certain time frame.
Interviewee Two:
Wants to prioritize his life more by waking up earlier and trying to work out more. He made some stories of how itâs hard when thereâs things like finals that come around, but h realizes that if you want something, you can make time for it.
Interviewee Three:
He finds himself saying âBroâ too often. He wants to try changing his choice of words by calling himself out every time he says it.
