Irony
This very aesthetic photo series is from the Dutch still-life photography duo Scheltens & Abbenes. I have great respect for the work of Maurice Scheltens and Liesbeth Abbenes! It is really amazing how they use a simple product, manipulate it in a way that looks so simple and creates such a strong image.
In this photo series Irony from 2012, for Magazine Fantastic Man, the duo used a simple iron and manipulated it into a very interesting setting. A series of strong and graphical lines from the iron (the triangle shape and perforation) in combination with details of the shirt and colbert and a playful twist of the cord. The black & white photography strengthens the images.
