this doesn't mean it's inherently traumatizing!! this doesn't mean the person domming is a bad person! or the person subbing is a bad person! scenes don't alwasy go according to plan and that's okay!

Scene analysis of Founder by Ian Abando

*We cut to Carrie in center stage frozen, covered in blood with wide eyes. Tommy's about to say something when the bucket falls down and hits him on the head knocking him to the ground. Carrie does not notice*

Carrie (Thinking):

Our father, who are in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name

Oh my God, oh my God, oh My God

I will not cry,

I'm okay

I tried so hard to play their way

*She sees red as the crowd stands there confused*

Mama, you should have told me!

And God made Eve to bear the curse,

The curse of blood

The curse of blood

*She turns to and sees Tommy's body on the ground. She leans down and tries to wake him up when she realizes he's not breathing*

His name is Tommy Ross mama,

He'll have me home before midnight!

Carrie (Spoken):

An eagle is just another bird,

Until he can spread his wings

*Two students rush on stage and try to revive Tommy*

(Chorus: Open your heart, Let Jesus in)

Carrie (Thinking):

They'll make fun of you

They will break your heart,

Then they'll laugh at you,

Watching you fall apart

*The crowd begins to laugh, Norma initiating the laughter. Carrie is crying now as her world begins to spin. That's when she see's Chris and Billy above the stage and she realizes what happened. She snaps.*

Carrie (Spoken):

Doesn't anybody ever get it right?

*The crowd freezes, the two students by Tommy looking up at her as the lights begin to flicker*

Doesn't anybody think that I hear?

*She lifts one of tables and it slams into the circuit breaker on the wall. The lights go out one by one as the doors slam shut. The fire alarms go off when a fire starts around the stage illuminating the gymnasium. The students begin to panic and Chris/Billy try climbing down. Carrie behind to walk off the stage throwing anyone and anything out of her way.*

*She see's Chris/Billy, lifting Chris off the ground who's terrified. Billy tries to hit her but she forces forces him into one of the walls, knocking him unconscious. Chris struggles but Carrie smiles and throws her to the ground repeatedly before suddenly stopping. Walking towards the exit she opens the door before looking around at the destruction to see the students and she pauses for a moment. Then she see's Norma crawling on the ground towards her.*

*Walking out the exit the doors slam behind her. As she walks away the gym blows up behind her and ambulances can be heard in the distance as a small crowd gathers around the school.*
