I went from spending 5 hours metaphorically slamming my forehead against a wall begging my brain to at least crap out like 150 words for the introduction of this scene, and the last 20 mins accidentally making the introduction almost 1/3rd of the entire chapter's word budget.
Why does writing work like this???
