my first attempt at scarification, i think i'll go over it once it heals

Marked in a short 2021 documentary about tribal markings given to people in Nigeria. These markings have been given for centuries for reasons like showing family lines, to prevent/cure illness, and to project beauty, but they are falling out of favor. I have a scar on my face from a childhood accident and watching this made me feel connected to my heritage. I have no idea if I have Nigerian ancestry, but it was nice feeling connected to my Blackness. The documentary is only 20 minutes long and worth a watch
