This weekend I watched Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore with a friend who knows the world. I have never seen or read anything by Joann before, but I liked the scenes with fancy, gay, wizards going through magical divorce. Jude Law as a dramatic period piece gay and Mads Mikkelson as an arrogant, evil, gay, I'm here for it. I would like a short film about an intense night they spent together around this time where all their emotions spill, passion erupts, and they struggle to keeps their hands off each other. You can use your imagination about how intense the 'can't keep their hand off each other' part is. Maybe rough making out and pulling at clothing or wow this is some thinly veiled pwp isn't it? All that repression needs an outlet. Either way it's bittersweet because they both know it's the last time they'll be together like this, and we don't need to have Joann involved.

I wouldn't have watched this if Depp was still in the role. I never cared for him and after this court case I still don't have an interest. If there's another one I might check it out. Hopefully, studios will feel a little more comfortable expressing queer content in mainstream movies. I have been reading fanfics about the ship, but I don't know the backstory. I thought Credence was Dumbledore and Grindelwald's son.

I just discovered that in some other countries Aisha's name was not Aisha!

And I'm so damn mad because when I watched Winx as a kid even though at the time I didn't particularly like her, I was totally in love with her name!

Like, my boy Hans knows what it's like to be poor and starving. He flirting game is based on cooking because it's what he learned to value most. Ya know because the story is about being so poor they couldn't afford to eat.

The ability to eat and cooking, a skill he would've learned from living in the witches hunt as he watched his sister cooking, are used as how he shows affection. The frying pan weapon is due to it being the only thing they had to defend himself as a child cuz he was trapped in the kitchen area. Hence why he finds true love through someone enjoying his cooking I love that level of detail.

Jack being of the beanstalk is into gems and jewelry for his affection/flirting because while his story dealt with being too poor to eat it was solved with stealing money from the gaint. He gained freedom proverty from sneaking around the gaint and gaining gems/gold coins. He learned to value money as an important life source. Hence his affection is bought and given through pretty stones. Also the invisibility cloak is linked to ya know his ability to hide from the gaint.

The triplets are based on Pinocchio and it's why they are into inventing and less interested in undoing the curse. They don't flirt with Red Shoes like the others. They know what it's like to not be a person (puppets) and they make do with being alive. Again because they are real people and that's what matters.

Unlike, merlin, Jack and Hans, the triplets aren't shown having their lifestyles still centered on their human height. Jack keeps his cloak in a safe he can't reach short. Merlin has books he can't reach unless human. Hans is shown reaching for a pan as a human. The triplets are shown in their merc built for their small size. Nothing implies that they build things for a human size and they stay together further implying they don't care if they change back or back. Their happy to just be able to craft.

Hence the ending where they don't find true love but keep the science going while jack, hans and Merlin children play in their lab. Time passed and they are okay with being themselves.

I don't know how much Arthurain lore went into Arthur and Merlin so I won't touch on that, but anyway...

i basically agree with what @elixir448 said here but i will add:

i think the potential of a love triangle with someone besides dean could potentially be very exciting? i don’t think beth and rio will ever become an established couple but they will continue to orbit each other, and that could be a dynamic way to create tension and conflict in their relationship. plus, i love jealous!rio and we don’t really get to see that with dean because dean is not a real romantic interest for beth as much as he represents stability and familiarity? so i don’t think rio sees him as a romantic rival in that way. the potential that it could be someone that’s in the crime world with them is even more fascinating, as i think that would chafe rio in a much different way.

i think the possibility of the love triangle including a romantic rival against beth is very slim (since rio’s not a POV character), so i was very confused when a few people instantly jumped to the show making rio a cheater, haha. i think there’s not a lot of evidence for that in canon and though the interview is ambiguous, the choice would contradict the very intentional way that rio/dean have been contrasted thus far. i do notice trends/patterns that whenever there is the possibility of the show exploring a rio flaw, there seems to be backlash, whether that’s when he killed lucy, when rhea confirmed he can sometimes have an irregular presence in marcus’s life (implied that it was related to his job), when people believe he betrayed beth, or this. rio’s obviously a flawed person outside of these few choices anyway, but i think he’s a character that’s well-rounded and likable despite those flaws, and i love flaws because to me they make characters complex and interesting, and i think most of the ones he’s been given are consistent to his characterization and the circumstances of his life. 

i’m fully prepared to love phoebe this season and i can’t wait for her to shine.

i’m glad it seems like we’re going to explore some annie/beth tension. i felt like it was a bit too easily dropped in the beginning of s3, so it’s nice to have it confirmed that’s coming back around again.

i think jenna saying that beth “realizes” that rio’s not a long-term romantic possibility is really wide open for interpretation. beth such a compartmentalizer that i’d be surprised if her realizing this impacts the push/pull dynamic that they have anyway; i more think (and hope) that the show is going to be exploring beth’s feelings for him and the anxiety that comes from the choice between stability (dean) and unpredictability (rio) if the teased triangle is actually just the same one it’s always been—which is beth x rio + dean.

i’m extremely excited for beth to come to terms with the fact that as long as her and rio are in the same space and criming, they’re linked.
