Harvey Stephens is the sweetest. This is the version from my old-school four-movie Omen set. He has the most lovely demeanor and accent—I could have talked to him all day. He kept Damien’s tricycle and his kids played with it, which just amused me to no end. He joked on the Kids in Horror panel that he gets away with a general life of anonymity because he is “ugly”, which is farthest from the truth. He said that in the baboon scene that was not acting—he was truly terrified—and he no longer goes to zoos for that reason. He also gave the most wonderful news: Gregory Peck’s an angel. For you younguns who can’t read cursive, she wrote: “To Carla Bite Me!” I asked her which movie of mine she wished to sign, and she insistently chose Cujo. She’s most proud of it. I would be, too! I rewatched it right before the con, and something struck me that didn’t as a preteen reading the novel and watching the movie, and I brought this up in the Kids in Horror panel to @dannypintauro: the true deep horror of Cujo is that Donna’s husband is driving a pristine Jaguar convertible, and his wife and son, who live in an isolated home, drive a Ford Pinto that hops like a bunny—and he gets angry when he has to work on it.
