So, I’ve decided to document me going back to college full-time after going full-time then getting a decent paying job, moving out, going to 1 or 2 classes a semester, figuring out “fuck, these jobs do not pay nearly enough and I’m bored at of my mind”.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED SO FAR...
First off, paying for college sucks ass (unless you’re an only child with a mommy and/or daddy that’s loaded). You are going to need a student loan or to quit your job so you can work on writing at least 10, 1,000 work essays for scholarships and hoping you get them. Seriously, that will be your new job. Right now, I’ve enrolled in 17 credit hours (about 5 classes). Most are going to be pretty fun classes (ie. actually something to do with my degree). The rest... well they are online so those won’t be that bad. Online classes in my experience are awesome. You can go ahead and don’t have to wait on the class or get lost while doodling during a lecture and miss important shit that will be on the exam next class. Oh, you also don’t need to buy those stupid scantrons... damn scantrons. You will end up buying these for your tests and some teachers will require you to have the BLUE scantrons while the others will require the RED scantrons. Seriously, it’s a real dick, conspiracy if you ask me. Trying to make the bookstore more money since you can get your books cheaper by renting them online... bullshit. And if your college/university class requires you to have a damn clicker, I am so sorry.
At the moment, I’m waiting for the financial aid office at my school to release my funds to pay for Spring 2016 but, I guess they don’t want the money as I’m still waiting. It’s been 2 weeks since they received my FASFA info. Luckily, my school (which I’m sure is like many because they know tuition is fucking expensive) they offer payment plans. Over the course of the semester, I can pay about the same cost as a months rent towards the classes I’m already attending. -sarcastic thumbs up-
What I Go to School For
What I Go to School For
Sitting in a not-so-exciting class makes my mind wander. A lot. In my first class of the day, I spent quite a bit of time day-dreaming–mostly about that story I want to write about Hearst Castle. But as the clock slowly ticked by, I thought of a few things that are much different in college than in high school. So here we have… Things I Totally Took for Granted in High School 1. One hour classes.…

In sixth grade a teacher gave us a pop quiz and we had to use Scantrons and these only took #2 pencils and I only had pens. I asked the kid next to me for a pencil and he gave me one. I took the quiz then turned it in and got a zero. I go back to my desk confused how I failed a math quiz with a zero because it's my best subject. I looked at the pencil on my desk for some reason and it was a fucking #3 pencil. I asked the guy after class why he gave me a #3 pencil and he said "I only had one #2 and if I gave it to you what would I use? And you didn't say you wanted a #2 pencil."so I yelled "WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET A #3 PENCIL?" I had to see that kid everyday in every class for a year and whenever I see him in calculus now I want to kick his clever ass.

I sure as hell can't be a tattoo artist when I can barely bubble in my answers on scantrons
