@agenderspacedefender and I have been doing a REED900 roleplay set in a LotR/Dragon Age AU (it’s a lot of layers. We know. Trust me, we know).  Nines is the adopted son of Elrond, raised by him after Arwen stays behind and the rest of the elves journey to Valinor. Nines leaves Valinor against Elrond’s wishes in order to find the lost land of Thedas and attempt to help his estranged elven brethren.
