Favorite Restaurants

My favorite restaurant in Richmond is a restaurant that serves French cuisine, called L’Opossum. I love the food and the atmosphere. I just dig the whole vibe here.

Other spots I love in RVA are Secret Sandwich Society, Lunch.Supper, and Nicholas and I love to eat at Galaxy Diner. I also like to eat at a Vietnamese place called Mekong quite often. They have an excellent beer menu, and really good food.

January - start of a new year, new beginnings, new mindset, the start of new goals.

April - rainy days, weather starts to heat up a little.

May - the month that leads into the summer, the weather starts to change up.

July - the month that ends the first 6 months and leads onto the last 6 months (it's weird but I figured it out), Bastille day/my birthday, hotter weather.

September - hoodie season, cuddling under layers of blankets, pumpkin spice lattes.

October - Halloween, horror movie month.

Summer Highlights

I’ll be frank here: This summer was kind of “non-descript”. There were some good times and some highs, but no really major events (such as going to see Paul McCartney as I did in 2017).

Here are the events that sort of “stuck out” in retrospect as high points of the season:

June 1: Completed third consecutive River Run 10K

I may have finished in last place, but the important thing was that I DID finish it.

Late June / Early July : Out of debt, out of danger

After years of living paycheck-to-paycheck, doors finally opened to allow me to pay off my indebtedness and get out of the rut I’d been in. I am not wealthy by any means, but at least I can live without a mountain of debt hanging over my head like the Sword of Damocles. It’s also nice to be in a position to help family and friends sometimes, too.

August 21 - Ditched the Walmart Special for a quality Bicycle

2. Favorite restaurants

El Toro - for sure my favorite Mexican restaurant in my area. 

Mas Amigos has the very best quesadillas gahhh I love them. 

Windy City Express - chicken fingers to die for! 

Niros Gyros - I mean their gyros are the best but also so are their moz sticks. 

Pandamonium - DONUTS. I love the strawberry sliders and the maple bacon apple fritter.
