Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved seeing Depa and Kanan and Saw, but... why did they do that to Wrecker?
He already was one dimensional before, now he's really just they oversimplified embodiment of the good giant that likes to break things trope.
I am not going to talk about Omega.
Also they are all so painfully white I mean why Disney why
"I hope this email finds you well"
Me:
Saw Gerrera’s a lil bitch
I didn’t like him from Clone Wars and since I just finished Rebels I dislike him even more. I get that he’s been in the war for such a looong time but my god his extremist ways are so frustrating to watch, especially that ep in Rebels where they were in Geonosis and found a geonosian protecting the “last” egg. I wished his sister was still alive.
I do like that we get these kinds of characters in sw. it totally shows that the war isn’t a black and white situation. It’s not like a superhero film where there’s just good vs evil.
What’re your thoughts on him?

The moment Star Wars Rogue One made my day.
To be clear, I'm not referring to the best or most epic scene, just something that personally made me rather giddy. Remember how Minnow looked early on, with her asymmetric, hand me down limbs? A big round clomper of a left foot, and a bony, terminator-like right foot? Back when I first started drawing her this way, I'd often wonder how that would look in real life if someone were ever to cosplay as her.
So you can imagine my grin upon seeing the first shot of Saw Garrera in this scene, as he stomps towards the camera.

His feet look EXACTLY LIKE MINNOW'S! Holy crap! I felt like I was looking at her in that moment. So yeah... silly as it sounds, that made my day.
...and Saw won't see Jen for another 2 years or so.

Star Wars: Rebels Recap - Ghosts of Geonosis
Still Fighting the Last War
Another Clone Wars reunion episode featuring Rex, Saw, battle droids, Bail, and even that creepy temple from the zombie brain worms arc.
A lot of Saw’s justifiable anger with Klik-Klak comes from the fact he set droids on Saw’s team, but a lot of it stems from his older hatred of Separatists. In case we missed that fact from his dialog and actions, Rex was nice enough to spell it out for Ezra and us.
‘You Jedi are soft. You cost us the last war.’ You know who else felt like that? Anakin Skywalker.
He Who Fights Monsters
How cool is it that they got an Academy Award winning actor to voice-act for this cartoon. And that, my friend, is the power of Star Wars.
Aside from the tentacle torture scene, Rogue One did a pretty terrible job of showing how Saw was an ‘extremist.’ This episode, on the other hand, goes a long way towards doing so what with him torturing a prisoner and threatening to commit and act of genocide.
Saw is willing to do whatever it takes to win, regardless of who gets crushed along the way. War is, after all, loss. The Ghost Crew, on the other hand, believe you have to actually hold the moral high ground before you can call yourself a good guy.
The entire point of the Star Wars series is about showing how war damages everyone. When considering Saw from his introduction in The Clone Wars through his death in Rogue One, it’s pretty obvious he was badly damaged even before he ended up with prosthetics and a breathing device.
‘Not all our allies share our values or fight for the same reason’ is an important thing to keep in mind both when building activist coalitions and when funding foreign insurgents. Looking pointedly at you, US government.
Irony and Foreshadowing
The atmosphere of the first 15 minutes or so was like something out of a horror film. Nice ambiance.
The circle within the circle. We know it’s the Death Star, but the team has solved the wrong mystery by the end of the episode.
‘I just hope we’re not too late,’ says Saw, the guy who gets killed by the Death Star. ‘I’m sure we’ll deal with it,’ says Kanan, the guy who’s ship participated on the mission to steal the plans.
They fail to recover the canisters, but plan to use this act of genocide as a PR tool to recruit more rebels. Kind of like how Alderaan became a rallying cry for them later.
The Ghost on Geonosis
This was Ezra at his finest: the plucky voice of compassionate reason.
Kanan get’s a chance to really flex his Force powers, but he’s no Skywalker. Considering what happened to Anakin that’s probably a good thing, but he’s certainly very passive here. Every recommendation or decision he makes gets overruled and he just sort of rolls with it.
Hera is such an interesting blend of pragmatic idealism. She has zero problems resorting to violence, but not needlessly or without mercy. She wants to believe that presenting the poison canisters to the Senate will actually accomplish something, but I honestly can’t tell if she ever believed it would work.
Sabine being awesomely awesome with her jet pack was awesome. Kanan sounded so upset he couldn’t see what she was doing.
Once again Zeb was just sort of there. Remember when he was a character on this show? Yeah, good times.
