Can the lagna be considered atmakarka? What does it mean to have an ascendant in 29 degrees? I’ve heard it means something in tropical but i don’t know if it means anything in Vedic
Hello Anon, well, the lagna is not considered as an atmakaraka, only planets can be. An ascendant/lagna or a planet in 29 degrees means this planet or lagna is in rashi sandhi, or at a sign junction. The planet or the lagna gets weaker as they are torn apart between two different energies. See my reply to Anon about Jupiter-Saturn in Krittika, see the example I provided: it works quite the same except that it may not be about fire or gasoline or monsoon 😉 However, the exceptions are the Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces signs' end as the lagna or planet becomes vargottama. In this case, it gets stronger. There is another type of sandhi to consider, it is the gandanta type. It happens when a nakshatra ends at the end of a sign and the next nakshatra begins at the beginning of a new sign, namely Revati, Ashvini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Mula. In short, in this position, there is a problem to solve that requires transformation for the native. This position wants you to move forward. So, if you move forward and you understand these energies as well as your inner problems, you can go beyond to a new stage of understanding, and you'll feel better. That's one of the many blessings of astrology. Astrology is also a remedy itself. 🤗
Best of luck on your journey in astrology! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
