Favourite Season - Three. Just from Trail of Blood to Pax Romana (maybe missing Hero II: Broken Arrow), and then Awakening to the end… Actually, Metamorphosis is a decent episode too… There’s just amazingness in those episodes. Hollow Earth*, Adam Worth, Helen calling Nikola ‘Dobby’, Declan showing up every now and then, Nikola in his many suits, Helen laughing when she fell down the hole with John (I may not like the ship, but it’s so lovely seeing them both happy and smiling), the gorgeous knitted cardigan Helen wears in Out of the Blue (the whole reason I got back into the show)…

Season three was the season where they had their feet beneath them and they could run, really run, and they did. And, like I said above, Out of the Blue got me back into the fandom (why is Helen a painter? Why aren’t she and Will talking? Where’s Henry? Wtf is Hollow Earth? It was mostly my, ‘Wtf is Hollow Earth?!’ that got me back, and I am so glad!)

Episode - Requiem. I’m a sucker for a two-hander at the best of times, and this one is just amazing. (Yes, it is mostly to do with my massive crush on Helen, but that’s neither here nor there.) They’re in the Bermuda Triangle! We see Helen do a bit of an autopsy on a mermaid. We see her lose her mind! She stops being this good character and she gets dimension. The fact that this is set after The Five, and Helen’s dealing with Ashley not talking to her (Ashley, the child she waited about a century to have), as well as Will asking things all the time… And Will explaining how the Sanctuary and the staff feel like home/family? And then having to kill Helen?

Also, the scene I quoted yesterday, ‘I’m not so common’? It’s brilliant. From the moment he opens his eyes to the end of the scene is just fantastic. I love this episode so much!

Story Arc - Oh, this is hard. I think my favourite story arc is either the Hollow Earth one or the Helen Time Travelled arc. Because the Hollow Earth one has Hollow Earth (and Nikola in what my dad calls a spiv shirt (the white collar/coloured shirt combo - love those shirts!)), but ‘Helen Time Travelled’ has Helen… Time travelling. It opens up so many fanfic ideas! (Warning: That last link is an Explicit fic, just a heads up.) So yeah… Either. XD
